Site D4.4, CMK

The proposal is for 328 residential apartments intended for the Private Rental Sector (PRS), enclosing a high quality landscaped courtyard, and set over a basement containing secure car and cycle parking, storage and servicing. The design is a high quality redevelopment of this important gateway site into CMK.

Our proposal was developed in response to the requirements of the Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) marketing brief for a residential led mixed use development and was won through a competitive tender process with them. It is also designed to meet the detailed brief requirements set out in the MKC Planning Brief. The proposal will revitalise an area which for many years has been derelict, following the closure of the garden centre.

The scheme has been widely welcomed by local stakeholders, especially Linda Inoki, Councillor for Campbell Park MK and Chairman of Xplain, who complemented the scheme in its CMK setting, adhering to the local vernacular and constraints with an ‘architecture (that) is quiet and confident’.  See Xplain Article Link
